A notable gathering in Madrid brought together faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The round table included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, Fernando Hernández of the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers presented personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how mutual knowledge can reduce prejudice.
During the event, participants addressed themes such as human rights, cultural identity and respect for differences. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when rooted in respect for human rights.
